Sikirat Mustapha is a student at Columbia University studying Business Administration and Political Science. As a passionate advocate for equity and inclusion in the finance, technology, and educational worlds, Sikirat beautifully pairs her interest in finance and technology with her multifaceted interests in educational equity. As the Director of Integrate NYC and Lead Website Vetter at NYCEDU, Sikirat used her knowledge of data analysis and code to assist in the creation of a citywide report that identified patterns of racial and economic discrepancies in NYC following the COVID19 pandemic. With similar research, she curated a citywide virtual COVID19 resource list with thousands of resources inclusive of educational, food and housing support. Not only is Sikirat passionate about using technology to inform education, she is also a lead advocate for educational equity throughout NYC. Sikirat served as an Executive Board Member of the former Chancellor Carranza’s Advisory Council, informing the education of NYC’s 1.1 million students. Now after founding her tutoring business, Sikirat Tutors, she combines her passion for technology, finance, and education to continue to inspire young people and create change globally.
